Jill Cooper

Ms. Cooper joined Orion in June 2022. Ms. Cooper is an environmental attorney with about 30 years of experience working on sustainability and ESG, climate change and greenhouse gases, environmental health and safety, environmental planning and management, due diligence and auditing, compliance, and policy. Her experience covers a wide array of industries including mining, energy, water, manufacturing, consumer products, and government. Prior to joining Orion, Ms. Cooper served as an ESG Senior Principal at Geosyntec Consultants and as Director of Global Environment at Anadarko Petroleum Company. Throughout her career she has managed teams of specialists in ESG, sustainability, air, water, waste, spills, land, wildlife, auditing, data systems, reporting, and advocacy. She has experience working directly with executives, investors, financial institutions, and not-for-profits. Ms. Cooper holds a BS in Marketing from Michigan State University, an MBA from Thunderbird with a focus on international finance and Asia, and an JD in environmental law from the University of Colorado.
