Stephen Saunders

Prior to joining Orion in 2022, Mr. Saunders spent nearly ten years working in both the Mining & Metals Global Investment and Corporate banking groups at Scotiabank. Most recently Mr. Saunders held the title of Director within the Global Mining & Metals Investment Banking group where he worked on a myriad of global precious, base and battery metal sector transactions, including sell-side and buy-side M&A, corporate debt financing, project financing, and equity financing. Prior to joining the Investment Banking group, he worked on a number of mining & metals corporate lending transactions for some of the largest to smallest counterparties within the sector, including single-asset project financing transactions. Mr. Saunders earned a Bachelor of Commerce from Queen’s University in Canada.
